On Thursday, 10-24-2022, Prof. Dr. Nabil Muhammad Naji Al-Sharifi, Head of the Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology department, participated in the viva committee for the PhD thesis tagged (lactoferrin effects on anemia associated with chronic kidney inflammation induced by Klebsiella pneumoniae in female rats).
The researcher Shahd Hamed Shaker, in the department of physiology, biochemistry and pharmacology, College of Veterinary Medicine / University of Baghdad.
The study dealt with the role of lactoferrin in the treatment of chronic nephritis induced in rats through the study of some inflammatory parameters and antioxidants, and the molecular study of some related genes.
The study found a new method in the development of chronic kidney inflammation, as well as the role of lactoferrin in improving chronic kidney inflammation.
Finally, the thesis was approved with excellent grade.
