The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kufa discusses a Master’s thesis in the field of Pharmacology and Toxicology.

A Master’s thesis titled “Pharmacological Study of Ocimum basilicum Seeds Extracts Nanoparticle on Diabetes Mellitus in Albino Rats” was discussed in the Department of Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The thesis, presented by the student Israa Tariq Hussein, aimed to evaluate the therapeutic effects of alcoholic basil extract nanoparticles against type 1 diabetes, The study demonstrated multiple therapeutic effects, which were measured and presented with their wide-ranging variables. An improvement in blood insulin levels was observed in rats treated with basil seed nanoparticles. The study was evaluated using biochemical tests, complete blood count analysis, oxidative stress measurements, and brain histological examination of the rats.
