Within the series of activities of the veterinary microbiology branch, and according to the scientific plan prepared for the academic year 2025-2024, the branch held a workshop entitled: (Dopamine as a treatment) on Monday 11/11/2024 presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Fahem Mohammed deghem ,the workshop included the introduction of this vital compound and important for both humans and animals, as well as the workshop dealt with the positive and negative effects when using dopamine as a drug, but the effects of dopamine in general are positive if used correctly and under medical supervision, as dopamine is useful in the treatment of many diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, hereditary syndrome, schizophrenia as well as the treatment of addiction ..Dopamine is available as a medicine in various forms, for example pills or intravenous injections, and is taken in small quantities according to the recommended dose for each disease .
