The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine held a workshop entitled “Drugs and their Impact on Society” on Sunday, 12/31/2023, presented by the assistant Lecturer, Mustafa Hussein Al-Ibrahimi from the College of Education for Girls/University of Kufa.
The lecturer emphasized the dangers facing societies, especially the youth group, from the effects of drug use, in addition to the psychological, organic, and social aspects of those who use these substances, in addition to their causing an increase in the number of crimes committed. He also emphasized the role of the family in the necessity of informing society of the psychological and organic harms of drug use, as well as the economic effects.
