On Thursday 11-17-2022, Assistant Professor Dr. Furqan Sabbar Kadhem Al-Araji, a Lecturer of the Pathology and Poultry Diseases department/ Faculty of Veterinary Medicine/ University of Kufa participated in the viva committee for the PhD thesis tagged (modern methods for diagnosis of Newcastle disease), by student Alia Mohsen Reda, in the department of Pathology and poultry diseases, College of Veterinary Medicine/ University of Al-Qadisiyah.
The study dealt with modern methods of diagnosing Newcastle disease and the use of several methods that have proven effective in determining infection rates in diagnosis. Three new strains were diagnosed for the first time in Iraq, and one of the strains showed a significant change from the strains used in Newcastle disease vaccines, which explains the infections in poultry fields despite the different vaccinations.
Finally, the thesis was approved with excellent grade.
