On Thursday 10/11/2022, a master’s dissertation was examined for the student (Aya Sabah Abdel-Hur) in the Pathology and poultry diseases department/ Faculty of Veterinary Medicine / University of Kufa, and under the supervision of Prof. Bushra Hamza Faris for her tagged dissertation ((A pathological study on the protective effect of the fruit extract of the Annona Muricata (Graviola) on the induced mammary gland cancer in female mice)).
The dissertation that is submitted by the student aimed to know the preventive effect of the fruit extract on the induced breast cancer in female mice. According to the results of this study, it was concluded that the use of methanol extract of the fruit showed the ability to reduce the tumor size induced in female mice while reducing the expression level of the cancer marker Mmp2 by polymerase chain reaction assay and immunohistochemistry study.
The dissertation was accepted with excellent grade.
