The dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine-University of Kufa, Assistant Prof. Ahmed Hameed Al-Azaam has participated in the the first conference of biorisk management which held in the Nahrain Center of strategies studies and organized by national committee of biorisk management for three days 4-6/03/2019. Many interesting, scientific, international and local people have attended the conference. Moreover, Dr Ahmed has presented the efforts and role of University of Kufa in raising and increasing the knowledge of postgraduate, undergraduate and community of Najaf, to deal with risks of biological and biochemical wastes that can be contaminated our environment and threaten the life. Also he added about the important particular role of faculty of veterinary medicine and displayed the feedback form which is designed by teaching staffs to assess the level of knowledge of other faculties of University of Kufa in relation about risks of biological and biochemical waste. Also he suggested that we can add course of biosafety and biosecurity curriculum plan for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. furthermore, Dr Ahmed shared meeting via media online with Sandia national laboratories of USA and explained the continued cooperation and communications with this laboratories to facilitate research and getting more information to develop biorisk management of national universities.
