As Dean and Head of School, I would like to say that I am very delighted and pride in welcoming you to the Faculty of veterinary medicine / University of Kufa. The veterinary medicine was recently opened in Kufa university on 2008-2009 and accepted the undergraduate students at the same. Our faculty is quickly growing, and we built new and developed laboratories to help veterinarian students in teaching and research during period of their study as well as more postgraduate student in future. We aspire to cooperate working together as team to success excellence our tasks and share in our acknowledging and appreciating each other in a supportive community.  Despite our faculty was opened recent among other faculties in Kufa University but it gained and ranked firstly in activities of university as well graduation researches won and compete other faculties. Our laboratories were founded modern with recent technologies of devices and equipment which are very helpful in teaching, training and research for students and researcher in future.

The core study of our faculty is graduated talented and specialized veterinarians with the highest quality of care for our animal patients and zoonotic diseases between animals and human. Moreover, we have accepted postgraduate students to grow the research and developed of our knowledge by research. Also, our plan we want to accept more local and international students to communicate with other experiences of countries and universities.
